Terms of service
Last updated 14 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and StudyBuddy (“we”, “us”). They cover your use of the StudyBuddy website, apps and study service (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
1. The Service
StudyBuddy helps you prepare for the GMAT exam. It offers practice questions, spaced review, practice tests, progress estimates and AI-generated study plans. We keep improving it, so features may change.
We are not affiliated with GMAC. GMAT™ is a trademark of the Graduate Management Admission Council, which does not endorse this product. Our questions are written by us, not taken from the official exam.
2. No guaranteed results
Readiness, projected scores, pace and skill estimates are models based on your practice. They are not predictions of your official score. Some content, including study plans, is generated by AI and may contain mistakes. Use your own judgement, and if a question looks wrong, report it from the question itself. We don't guarantee any score or admission outcome.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- Give us a working email address, and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- An account is for one person. Each account can be used on a limited number of devices at a time, and we may limit or suspend accounts that are being shared.
4. Subscription and billing
- Full access requires a paid subscription. The price is shown before you pay, and taxes may be added depending on where you live.
- Polar is our merchant of record. Your purchase is made from Polar, which processes payment, handles tax and issues your receipts under its checkout buyer terms. Where those terms and ours conflict on payment, Polar's apply.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, charging the same payment method, until you cancel.
- We may change the price. We will tell you at least 30 days before a change takes effect, and it will apply from your next billing period. If you don't want to pay the new price, you can cancel before then.
- Access may be granted by a promotional or campaign code instead. A code's length and terms are as described when you redeem it.
5. Cancellation
Cancel at any time from your account page, in the app or at studybuddy.llc/account. Your subscription stops renewing, and you keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. You can undo the cancellation from the same page before that date.
If you delete your account, your subscription ends immediately, not at the end of the period, because there is no longer an account to use it with.
6. Refunds
- First payment: if you're not happy, email support@studybuddy.llc within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund of that payment.
- After that: payments are not refunded for partly used billing periods, including when you cancel or delete your account mid-period.
- Charged in error: if you were charged twice, or after you cancelled, email us and we will refund the charge.
- We issue refunds through Polar, and they go back to the original payment method. As merchant of record, Polar may refuse a refund where it finds fraud or abuse.
- None of this limits any refund or withdrawal rights you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, publish, sell or redistribute our questions, explanations or other content;
- share your account, or resell access to it;
- interfere with the Service, probe it for vulnerabilities without our permission, or get around its limits;
- use automated tools to access the Service, except as we allow;
- use the Service to break the law or anyone else's rights.
8. Our content and yours
The Service and its content, including questions, explanations, study guides and software, belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own exam preparation while your account is active.
Your study history remains yours. You allow us to use it to provide the Service to you. When you send us feedback, you allow us to use it to improve the Service, without owing you anything for it.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where practical, we will tell you first. If we close your account without a breach on your part, we will refund the unused part of your current billing period.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we disclaim all warranties that are not stated in these terms, including fitness for a particular purpose. We aim for the Service to be available and accurate, but can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a lost admission opportunity. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
